BUG Lamp

ARCHITECTS
Arch. Luca Curci
Arch. Pietro Capitaneo

The BUG lamp born from a consideration on the relationship between man and light. Its organic shape reminds to the outline of a silkworm, a living being which forecasts a transformation and announces a condition: the life.

The BUG lamp is a bright “organism” which produces artificial light with different chromatic shades that improve the well-being of viewers. Thanks to its temperature sensors, the lamp increases and changes its brightness and colours depending on the body that stimulates it.

European Competition Bari City Center

LOCATION
via Sparano da Bari, Bari – Italy

ARCHITECTS
Arch. Pietro Capitaneo
Arch. Elisabetta Capitaneo
Arch. Luca Curci
Ing. Doriana Doronzo

“Signs of light”
The core of the project for via Sparano is the “sign of light” that starts from the station and arrives to the harbor, throughout the quarter. The “light way across the see” has a symbolic value, emphasizing the natural attitude of the city to commercial and cultural exchanges.
The design solution plans the connection with the perpendicular axis, creating a pedestrian area that includes meeting points, green zones, reflecting poosl and lights area.
